Community Education
The suffering in the Phoenix area (and everywhere), is heartbreaking and our volunteers see it daily. A key part of what we do is build relationships with families in Poverty’s Pets targeted community.
In doing so, we are focused on improving the living quality of animals through education and dialogue. Every full water bowl, a pool to cool down in, and shade is essential, especially with Phoenix’s brutal summer heat.
You know what else we talk to residents about? The need to spay and neuter their companion animals!
Community Spay & Neuter Clinics
With zero way to rescue our way out of this unnecessary and avoidable, human-caused overpopulation problem, Poverty’s Pets offers free spay and neuter clinics for the community, and has become so popular and appreciated, that every clinic is MAXED!
The founder always says, “If you build it, they will come!”, and they sure do!
Pools For Pups
In addition to the clinics being sought after, Poverty’s Pets “Pools for Pups” program is in demand!
As volunteers canvas the community, they offer free “kiddie” pools for the outdoor animals in need of reprieve from the Phoenix heat.
Cat TNR (Trap, Neuter, Release)
Rescue work isn’t for the “faint of heart”! Each TNR “clinic” is a three day endeavor and targets one cat colony at a time in an attempt to curb the over-population and suffering.
Thank You!
A special thank you to all our community partners, fosters and volunteers! Without you, this much needed community service work would be impossible!
